Welcome

you’re at the 313 club…

on the other side of the tracks

In our early college days, my roommates and I shared an apartment with a 313 street address. The apartment overlooked the railroad tracks. It was “party central” for a large group of friends. We called it The 313 Club. And we jokingly said it was “on the other side of the tracks.” This site’s title and URL are an homage to those old days, and more so to those old friends, who are still friends 50 year later. That said, this site is not about that. Rather, it is my personal space in the cloud where I can shout into the ether. Stay tuned for commentary, miscellaneous musings, and more.

I am a father, grandpa, great grandpa, US Navy Veteran, former casino dealer & pit boss, Walgreens shift lead, and too many others to count. I was raised and spent my early adulthood in Lexington, KY. My navy years were split between San Diego and Vallejo, CA. I have lived and worked and cared for my family in Las Vegas, NV for over 30 years. Now, with a longing for home and my hometown friends, I plan to move back to Lexington in 2027. I am enjoying many hobbies in retirement, one of which is tinkering with computers and software, and that’s how this website came to be. This is just for fun. I hope you find something interesting or amusing or informative here. I wish you peace and God’s blessings.
